Malta Business Works Monday will be a day for all businesses in Malta, large or small, to gather and get to know one another.  We have thus far been very successful getting businesses to network, and collaborate while discovering how we can utilize each others services and products.  Come enjoy light snacks provided by our members who include Nanola, Unified Beerworks & Leah’s Cakery. Family friendly beverages will be served as well.  There is no cost to attend.

All are welcome, businesses, residents, anyone who wants to stay in touch with the business community and how we are building a better community for doing business and being a great place to live!

We have as one of our Guest Speakers newly appointed Councilperson Matt McLoughlin.  Matt will be discussing how he feels he can make an impact to our Town, what he views are it’s priorities, and why he is prepared for the role he has been appointed to.

Next, the Staff of the Planning Department, led by Jaime O’Neill, will be updating us on the status of the PEDALS grant and discussing zoning updates that might be considered.  They may be able to give us the status of on-going projects that we see happening in our Town. The PEDALS Grant is a project that would connect the existing sidewalks on Route 9 to new walking/bike paths south of Old Stonebreak Road.

Our keynote Speaker will be Town Supervisor Cynthia Young.  She will be discussing how she views her role, what she is working towards and what during her first term in office is important to accomplish.

Presentations will begin at 5:45pm, come at 5:00pm to enjoy snacks and meet other business owners/operators in a casual setting.  Be it networking or socializing, get to know your fellow businesses and their staffs.  We all do have a common goal of being successful within a community that appreciates our contribution.
